Hello everyone! This is my first time making a full body maquette. In case you were curious as to how to make one, here are the steps and photo of supplies on how I got started:

I found a concept of a monster that looked appealing to me:

All credit for the concept art goes to Pencil Equipped (https://www.artstation.com/artist/pencilequipped).

I started making a simple "frame" of the model I wanted to sculpt using the wires. I then adhered the base of the wire using the epoxy putty to the base of the wooden platform and then I used aluminum foil to bulk out the base form. This eliminates the need to use a bunch of clay unnecessarily :)

I then started to make the base forms and shapes as a start to build up on using Sculpey Polymer Clay:

Fleshing out more of the model using sculpting tools (we're progressing through the 'valley of suck'):

And here is the final result after tweaking, refining, adding details, and just having overall patience with the model. I feel very accomplished at this point. The model of course, can use so much more but we always have to call a point of a project 'finished' even if it really isn't in our head :).
